Highworth Town took 2 over 60s teams to Brimscombe today for a 12 team tournament organised by Inside football.
The 1st Highworth Team; led by Phil Leslie, were undefeated with a win and two draws but narrowly failed to qualify.
The 2nd Highworth team did slightly better with a 2-2 draw against Cirencester and wins versus Wiltshire Walking Football FC 1-0 and Phoenix Blue 4-1.
Good fortune continued with a semi-final win 4-2 on penalties, Steve Pope making two excellent saves.
The final against Clevedon was sadly not quite such a tight affair with Clevedon winning by an impressive 4-0 scoreline.
Special mention to Steve Richards and Cyril Knox who both made fine debuts.
