GFA - Over 50s remain in the mix

Another GFA league session saw our over 50s return with 3 wins and a solitary defeat to stay in contention near the top of the league.

Our first game saw us beat Wiltshire 1-0, Paddy with an excellent strike from a tight angle.

We had numerous chances to extend our lead but failed to convert any.

This victory was followed by a 5-1 demolition against Quedgeley, Paul Watling grabbed himself a hat-trick, with Steve King and Steve York also adding to our tally.

Our only defeat came against reigning champions Weston where we lost 2-0.

The final game of the day saw us up against Chippenham who had proved tricky opposition at the Christmas cup.

However this time round an early goal gave us the imputus and we ended up with a decent 4-0 win.
