After a tough round robin where Highworth Reds won 3, drew 2 and lost one we qualified of the final. A closely fought 1-0 win against our old adversaries Abingdon Almost Athletic was enough to secure the trophy.

A low skimmer from Ade Tucker did the trick to win the inaugural Highworth Town FC over 60s walking football tournament.

A credible fourth went to Highworth Town WFC’s other team.

Today saw the Maidenhead FC annual over 60s tournament.

Nine teams played a round robin with HTWFC finishing second after 5 wins, 1 draw and two very odd losses. The semi saw us defeat the hosts Maidenhead 2-0.

The final against Bracknell Town was 0-0 after extra time with Charlie Newton making a world class save to keep us in it. We won the three penalty shoot-out 2-1 with two superb saves by star of the day Charlie.

We are now the proud holders of both over 50s and over 60s trophys at Maidenhead.

Lewis Padfield was in fine form scoring 5 goals in the latest round of the GFA league matches with Kev Turner also bagging 4.

After a 0-0 opener against Wiltshire, Lewis scored twice against Quedgeley in a 2-0 win. Kev Turner then grabbed two in a 2-1 victory, edging out Abbey Meads.

The final game saw Highworth rout Cheltenham 5-0, a Lewis treble and Kev double completing the scoring.

This continues some impressive results over the last few months which sees us unbeaten in 20 games.
