Our final round of matches saw the over 50s clinch the division title with 2 wins and 3 draws.

Our first two games were goalless against Maidenhead and Oxford United but were followed by a walkover victory against Hemel and then a fine 3-0 win against division runners up Milton Keynes. Russ Lillington bagged two, the first one a top corner screamer and Steve King added the third. Our final game was 0-0 v Woodley Saints.

We finished 15 points clear at the top and a special mention must go to Charlie Newton in goal and all the defenders as we didn't concede a single goal all season.

After wins for the over 60s on friday and the over 50s taking the Bisham League 1 title earlier in the day, it was hoped Highworth would complete a hat-trick of victories in the over 50s cup.

After the league format was complete the final ended up being between Highworth and Salisbury.

The match finished 0-0 and extra time saw no change.

The game went to penalties and Salisbury just edged it 3-2, spoiling what could've been a perfect weekend.
